Jane Ann is a poet based and raised in southeastern Ohio, rural Appalachia. She is a recipient of the James Boatwright III Poetry Prize. Her full-length poetry manuscript Half-Life (Sheila-Na-Gig Editions, 2021) was a finalist for the 16th annual National Indie Excellence Awards.

Teaching Experience
Jane Ann has taught as part of the English faculty at Hocking College, Nelsonville, Ohio, and Ohio University, Athens, Ohio as well as in the prison systems of Orient and SCI. She taught in-class and online courses, including Freshman Composition, Creative Writing, World Literature, Reading and Writing about Nature, Business Writing, Contemporary Issues, Punctuation and Grammar, and Job Search Skills. Jane Ann has served as Coordinating Instructor of English and Faculty Union President, and poetry co-editor of Riverwind, Literary Journal.
