Jane Ann is a poet based in southeastern Ohio. She is a recipient of the James Boatwright III Poetry Prize. 

 

Education

M.F.A., Creative Writing, (poetry), University of Iowa Writer's Workshop, Iowa City, Iowa.

B.A. English Literature,  Honors Tutorial College, Summa Cum Laude,

with an emphasis in Creative Writing, (poetry.)

 

Teaching Experience

Jane Ann has taught as part of the English faculty at Hocking College, Nelsonville, Ohio, and Ohio University, Athens, Ohio as well as in the prison systems of Orient and SCI.  She taught in-class and online courses, including Freshman Composition, Creative Writing, World Literature, Reading and Writing about Nature, Business Writing, Contemporary Issues, Punctuation and Grammar, and Job Search Skills. Jane Ann has served as Coordinating Instructor of English and Faculty Union President, and poetry editor of Riverwind.

 

Collaborations

Special Projects Grant, Ohio Arts Council: Revenants, A Story of Many Lives. 

A collaboration of art work by Mark Hackworth and Patty Mitchel, prose by Deni Naffziger and poetry by Jane Ann Fuller.

 

Musical Collaborations

Fiddle, WOUB production: Our Town Pomeroy.

Jane Ann fiddles in a small string band called The Trophy Wives.
